Introducing the OASAS Leadership Academy

A Grant-Funded Leadership Development Program for OASAS Professionals in New York State

The OASAS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY is a four-month training program designed to help professionals in OASAS programs enhance their leadership skills and navigate today’s complex work environment. This grant-funded program prioritizes current managers and supervisors, providing them with practical tools and strategies to lead effectively.

Program Overview

Duration – Four-month duration, with next sessions scheduled to begin in March 2026.  
Format – Three in-person training sessions (6 hours each), one virtual session (8 hours)
Locations – Training sites located statewide, including Buffalo, Rome, Schenectady, Rochester, Watertown, Uniondale, Albany, and more
No overnight stay required for in-person sessions
 

Who Can Apply 

• Employees of OASAS prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery programs across New York State
• Employees of NYS OASAS
• Employees of Integrated NYS OASAS/OMH/DOH substance use disorder, mental health, or primary care programs
• Employees of NYS DOH Drug Health Programs
• Employees of NYS DOH Syringe Service Programs
  
Participation includes clinical staff as well as supervisors and managers of administrative and support employees 
who are currently, or aspiring to become, supervisors and middle managers.
